Sunshine 04:43
take your sunshine and stick it where the sun don't shine cause i don't wanna hea another word about your sunshine your happy sappy sunshine don't ya know it's for the flowers and for the birds well, draw the blinds and pull the shades down draw the drapes together 'til the sun goes down beacuse i don't have the stomach for your sweet sugar rolls your pie in the sky or your social pose i'd rather cry on my guitar salty little tears and call it popular art than to sacrifice even a foot for you hell i'd break my back for and inch or two i'm like a stubborn ol' mule in a minor key i like a little bit of dark in everything no, a picnic in the park don't do it for i prefer a rainy night with some pills and weed now if you don' like it then you can just go you can go you can go you can go and take your sunshine and stick it where the sun don't shine cause i don't wanna hea another word about your sunshine your happy sappy sunshine don't ya know it's for the flowers and for the birds it's just hydrogen and helium burning in the sky the chariot of helios riding high like a slave chain- the magnetosphere keeps us on a leash for our food and air i know photosynthesis keeps us all alive but i get miserable when it gets so bright don't ya get me wrong i like the light of the stars just not when they're as close as this one of our now i know not everybody's gonna feel the same way when the skies cloud up and a storm comes way that's just how i feel about your merriment, i find all of joy in everything you resent so if you don't like it then you can just go you can go you can go you can go and take your sunshine and stick it where the sun don't shine cause i don't wanna hea another word about your sunshine your happy sappy sunshine don't ya know it's for the flowers and for the birds alright get down with yo' sad self alright alright now baby get down get down get down and take your sunshine and stick it where the sun don't shine cause i don't wanna hea another word about your sunshine your happy sappy sunshine don't ya know it's for the flowers and for the birds

about

You couldn't pick a better backdrop for this band than the Brew City. The album sounds like a drunken bender in a Wisconsin corner bar. Think Springsteen if he'd been raised by Bukowski. Functional alcoholism paired with dysfunctional romances on a dancefloor of anxiety. Each song is a merciless emotional breakthrough, embracing it's own painful existence. The album ends in total chaos, leaving the listener sonically hungover. But before rushing off to a recovery meeting, maybe a little hair of the dog?
