under age in a bar with a fake id
he charmed her, said everything right
made her laugh, made her smile, took her home that night
he smelled her neck and held her tight
they made love love four times before the sun was bright
she said " hey beau, i hope you will stick around beau"

she got pregnant twelve weeks down the line
they rented an apartment on the southwest side
a daughter was born and things were great
couple months later beau started staying out late
he'd come home drunk and slur cruel words
that he didn't want the baby and he didn't want her
every next morning he'd apologize
she would look at him with tears in her eyes
and say "hey beau, maybe we can work this out beau"

when things didn't change she kicked him out
she said "i can't take care of you and feed the baby's mouth"
he said "babe, please give me one more shot"

i loved you once, but now it's gone with a breeze
i've got new responsibilities
